Roman Reigns is a professional wrestler and actor, born on May 25, 1985, in Pensacola, Florida. His birth name is Leati Joseph Anoaʻi, and he comes from a prominent wrestling family. His father is Sika Anoaʻi, a former professional wrestler, and his older brother is Rosey, who was also a wrestler.

Reigns attended Pensacola Catholic High School, where he played football and was named Defensive Player of the Year in his senior year. He then attended Georgia Institute of Technology on a football scholarship and played for the Georgia Tech Yellow Jackets as a defensive tackle.

After a brief stint in the NFL with the Minnesota Vikings and the Jacksonville Jaguars, Reigns decided to follow in his family's footsteps and pursue a career in professional wrestling. He signed with WWE in 2010 and was assigned to their developmental territory, Florida Championship Wrestling.

In 2012, Reigns made his debut on WWE's main roster as a member of The Shield, a stable consisting of himself, Dean Ambrose, and Seth Rollins. The trio quickly became one of the most dominant factions in WWE history, winning multiple championships and feuding with some of the company's top stars.
