Rohit Sharma is an Indian cricketer who was born on April 30, 1987, in Nagpur, Maharashtra, India. He is a right-handed batsman and is also capable of bowling right-arm off-spin.
Sharma made his international debut for India in June 2007 and has since played in all three formats of the game - Tests, ODIs, and T20Is. He is currently the vice-captain of the Indian cricket team in limited-overs cricket.
Sharma is known for his explosive batting style and is considered one of the best limited-overs batsmen in the world. He holds the record for the highest individual score in ODI cricket, scoring 264 runs against Sri Lanka in 2014. Sharma has also scored three double centuries in ODIs, which is a world record.
Off the field, Sharma is involved in various charitable initiatives and has supported causes such as education for underprivileged children and the welfare of stray animals. He is also a keen football enthusiast and is the co-owner of the Indian Super League football team Mumbai City FC.
